About our Animals
Good Shepherd Humane Society adopts out and takes in approximately 250 animals per year that otherwise would have been euthanized. The average stay for an animal at our shelter is just over 10 weeks. Every animal that comes in receives thorough medical attention. They are housed in quarantine for a week (to be possibly claimed by owner as well as for health reasons); scanned for chip; and receive a complete wellness check. Animals are then given all necessary vaccines as well as flea & tick prevention. Finally, the pet is either Spayed or Neutered.
