Our Clinic
What is a spay/neuter?
A spay surgery is the surgical sterilization procedure for female animals and neuter surgery is the surgical sterilization procedure for male animals.
Animals who have been surgically sterilized, sometimes known as “fixed”, will not be able to reproduce, which in turn will help control the animal population.
Routine spay & neuter clinic days are every other Wednesday and Thursday. Schedules may vary during holidays.
Spay & neuter services are done by appointment with the exception of feral cats.

Additional surgical procedures at time of spay or neuter:
Vaccines
- Rabies $10
Rabies vaccines are mandatory per Arkansas state law and must be administered by a state licensed veterinarian. All animals will be vaccinated for rabies at time of surgery if 16 weeks of age or greater unless proof of current rabies vaccine is provided prior to or at time of check in for surgery. Good Shepherd staff will not call your private veterinarian to verify this. It is your responsibility to bring us a copy of the rabies certificate. A rabies tag alone will not be accepted as verification as it does not give the information regarding the specific animal.
- FVRCP $10
The FVRCP vaccine protects against rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia (feline distemper)
