Good Shepherd Humane Society takes in and adopts out approximately 650 animals per year that otherwise may have been euthanized. The average stay for an animal at our shelter is just over 10 weeks.

Every animal that comes in receives thorough medical attention. They are housed in quarantine for a week (to ensure reunification with an owner if possible, and for medical observation); scanned for a microchip; and receive a complete wellness check. Animals are then given all necessary vaccines as well as flea and tick prevention. Finally, the pet is either spayed or neutered.
