Call local animal control - dial the non-emergency police line. Call each municipality even if you don’t live nearby

Call shelters in your area and neighboring counties, including across the Missouri border

Put up flyers at gas stations, grocery stores, and the post office

Ask your neighbors and delivery workers to keep an eye out
I FOUND A PET
BEFORE YOU PICK THEM UP
Many animals in Carroll County are free-roaming and return home on their own. If you are visiting the area, it may be better to report a sighting to local animal control than to transport the animal. Shelters or animal control may not have room for the animal at their facility.

Call area shelters - even if they can’t take the animal, leave your contact info so they can connect you with the owner
SCAN FOR MICROCHIP

Take the animal to any local vet or shelter to be scanned for free. If there is a chip, they can likely be reunite the same day
